God’s Laws of Prosperity Pt. 3

“God’s Rules for Reaping”

  1. God Wants You To Work
God says if you are able bodied and don’t work, you shouldn’t eat.
(2 Thessalonians 3:10) “.. If any would not work, neither should he eat.”

  1. God expects you to be diligent(have energetic effort)
    1. Lazy people will have little, if any, harvest
(Proverbs 24:30, 31) “I went by the field of the slothful and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; and, lo, it was grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.”

    1. If you can work without supervision, you will have more than enough.
(Proverbs 6:6-8) “Go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.”

  1. Diligent, hardworking people will reap.

(Galatians 6:9) “And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
  2. God gives the gift of salvation

(Ephesians 2:8) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it [your salvation] is the gift of God.”
  3. God gives faith to every believer

(Romans 12:3)  “…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
  4. God gives everything that is needed for life and godliness

(2 Peter 1:3)  “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness...”
  5. God’s greatest gift is Jesus

(John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

One of the best ways to be like God is also be a good giver

  A. All wealth belongs to God. (Psalm 24:1) ”The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalm 50:10) "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills." (Haggai 2:8) ”The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts/’

B. The wealth of the wicked is being stacked up for
the end-time wealth transfer. Games 5:1-3) ”Go to now, ye rich men...Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you...Ye have heaped maeure tegether fer the last davs.”

C. The wicked will turn their wealth over to the children of God. (] ob 27:13,16-17) "This is the portion of a wicked man with God...Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay; He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver."

Faithfulness in tithes and offerings will turn the flow of wealth from the wicked to you.

A. Prosperity came from God in the creation. (Genesis 2:8,10,11) ”And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And a river went out of Eden...where there is gold ;"

B. Povepty came from Satan in the fall. (Genesis 3:17-19) "And unto Adam he said, Because thou...hast eaten of the tree...cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt " thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground .... "

C. Prosperity is restored with God’s deliverance. (Exodus 12:35-36 TLB) "...lsrael did as Moses said and asked the Egyptians for silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing. And the LORD gave the Israelis favor with the Egyptians, so that they gave them whatever they wanted. And the Egyptians weremstripgd of evetything they owned!"

D. lesus restores prosperity with salvation.2 Corinthians 8:9) ”For ye know the grace of our Lord jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."

E. Prosperity is available to you through sowing and reaping.

Satan wants you to believe that some are destined to be poor, some are destined to be rich, and there’s nothing you can do about it. There are three Biblical reasons we know this is a lie.

A. It is a lie because God is not a respecter gf persons. (Acts 10:34) "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons."

B. It is a lie because Qod wgpgg all His children to prosper. (3 ]ohn 2) ”Beloved, I wish [pray] above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

C. It is a lie because God has given all His children power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18) ”But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth .... "

D. The truth is - God is willing to prosper all who tithe and give generous offerings.

A. God promises the wealth of the wicked to His children. (Proverbs 13:22) "...the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just." (Ecclesiastes 2:26) "...to the sinner he [God] giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God." .

B. The wealth of the wicked is added to those who put God's Kingdom first. (Matthew 6:33) "...seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Note: The things jesus adds are the things the wicked seek. (See Matthew 6:32)

C. Waming! The wealth of the righteous goes to the wicked when the righteous do not use it properly. (Ezekiel 7:20-21, TLB) ”I gave you gold to use in decorating the Temple, and you used it instead to make idols...I will give it [your wealth] to...wicked men as booty/’

D. Remember: Proper giving adds wealth - improper giving subtracts wealth.

Picture
  A. Abraham received the wealth of the wicked. (Genesis 13:1-2) "...Abram went up out of Egypt... And Abram was veg; rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold."

B. joseph received the wealth of the wicked. (Genesis 47:14) "And Ioseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan .... "

C. Israel received the wealth of the wicked. (2 Chronicles 20:25) ”...when...[Israel] came to take away the spoil...they found among them in abundance both riches...and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering...the spoil, it was so much."

D. If God transferred the wealth of the wicked to them, He will transfer it to you. (Acts 10:34) "...Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons/’

A. God promises to meet the needs of consistent givers. After faithfully giving to Paul’s ministry, God promised: (Philippians 4:19) "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ ]esus."

B. God promises proper givers more than enough. (2 Corinthians 9:8, TLB) "God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to 0thers."

C. God promises the good life to His obedient children.  (Isaiah 1:19) "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"

D. God promises the good life to His patient children. (2 Corinthians 9:10, TLB) "For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant, and later on, good crops to harvest and eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest."

E. Constant, proper, obedignt, patient givers receive an abundant harvest from their giving.

  God rewards obedient saints.

A. Willing and obedient.  (Isaiah 1:19) "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:"

B. Observe to do all. (Joshua 1:8) "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

C. Hearken diligently...to do.  (Deuteronomy 28:1-2) ”...if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments...the
LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee..."

D. God is obedient to His promises. V (Luke 6:38) "Give, and it shall be given unto you;
good measure, pressed down, and shaken to gether, and running over, shall men give into your bosom..."

E. Obedience is important to God. Now it's time to be obedient. Let's be obedient in
giving so God can reward us.

  I. God rewards obedience.

A. The widow’s food was multiplied because of her obedience. (1 Kings 17:15-16) "And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah."

B. Peter obeyed and received a multitude of fish. (Luke 5:4,6) "...Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake."

C. The windows of heaven open when we tithe and give offerings. (Malachi 3:10) "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

D. Giving in this offering will bring blessings.
